Following the inauguration of the third President of Cebu Technological University, Dr. Joseph Cutab Pepito, a heartfelt thanksgiving mass took place on January 15, 2024, at the Cebu Tech Gymnatorium.
Dr. Pepito, leading the CTU community, which included faculty, non-teaching personnel, and staff, initiated the mass to express gratitude and seek blessings for the journey ahead. The mass was a solemn occasion, symbolizing unity and the beginning of a new chapter for the university.
Father Glenn Therese Guanzon, the esteemed head of the Commission on Worship in the Archdiocese of Cebu, delivered an inspiring message during the mass. He emphasized the importance of “need to adjust” to various aspects of life, whether in work or relationships, as a means to maintain peace and foster personal growth. The congregation attentively listened to his words of wisdom, nodding in acknowledgment of the shared sentiments.

In the afternoon of the same day, the CTU continued its spiritual observance with a novena mass. This special mass, sponsored on the 5th day of the novena, marked a significant contribution to the ongoing celebration of the 459th Fiesta Señor. The university community actively participated, further strengthening their bond through shared religious observances.
These events not only underscored the significance of faith and unity within the CTU community but also set a positive tone for the tenure of Dr. Joseph Cutab Pepito as the university’s new leader. As the CTU commence on this new chapter, the collective spirit of gratitude and commitment to growth resonates among its members.
