Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, the esteemed University President of Cebu Technological University (CTU), was honored with the prestigious Outstanding Volunteers of the Philippines Award during the 4th Outstanding Volunteers Awarding ceremony initiated by the Students’ Actions Vital to the Environment and Mother Earth (SAVE ME) Movement. This event unfolded at the Occidental Mindoro State College – Convention Hall on January 27, 2024.
The movement took root under the visionary leadership of Dr. Edwin Chinel Monares, serving as both the Founder and Executive Director. This ceremonial occasion held significant prominence as it seamlessly integrated into the expansive celebration of the 13th National Convention on Environment, Climate Change, and Disaster Risk Management. This underscored the pivotal role played by volunteers in tackling urgent environmental challenges.
