
Due to Cebu Technological University being well-known worldwide as a top-notch institution, many international universities are interested in working together on academic projects. Shu-Te University from Taiwan visited the Main and Argao Campuses on February 3, 2024, to explore the possibility of forming a partnership.
During their visit, Shu-Te University was represented by Jau Shyong Wang (President), Shi Huang Chen (Vice-President), Juping Wu (Dean of the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs), and Mar Onell Booc (Section Chief of the International Teaching and Language Center). They expressed interest in having students from CebuTech study at their university as part of a reciprocal program.
In response, CTU warmly welcomed the foreign guests, headed by Dr. Amelia Girly Aranas (Vice-President for Research and Extension Development) and faculty from the College of Education, including Dr. Helen O. Revalde (Chair of Student Teaching), Dr. Dennis B. Plando (Chair of Internationalization), Dr. Regina E. Sitoy (Chair of BSNED & Doctoral Programs), Dr. Lilibeth C. Pinili (Chair of Online Education), and Dr. Raymond C. Espina (Associate Dean).
The meeting also included representatives from the Department of Education of Lapu-Lapu City, namely Marilyn Andales (Schools Division Superintendent), Ronald Ferrer (Assistant Schools Division Superintendent), and Victor Recana (Education Program Specialist II, Social Mobilization Officer). Together, they actively participated in discussions about potential collaborations and activities between the institutions. / ICPA
