CTU and CPF Forge Pathways: Empowering Interns for Success

Cebu Technological University President, Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, expressed profound gratitude to Chareon Pokhand Foods Philippines Corporation (CPF) for selecting interns from the university, emphasizing his unwavering commitment and confidence in the interns’ ability to excel in their roles.

This sentiment was conveyed during the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between CTU and CPF, which took place in the conference room of the administration building on March 26, 2024.

CPF, renowned for its integrated agro-industrial and food business operations, is dedicated to delivering high-quality products in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. Often referred to as the “Kitchen of the World,” CPF’s diverse portfolio includes farm business operations, prompting their interest in recruiting interns from CTU-Barili, renowned for its agriculture programs.

Dr. Pepito also extended the offer of competent interns from different CTU campuses, including Daanbantayan, Bantayan, and San Francisco, ensuring CPF access to a pool of skilled and capable individuals.

In response, Mr. Winai Malikrue, Assistant Vice-President of Human Resources and General Affairs at CPF, affirmed the company’s commitment to broadening its internship program across various campuses. He further assured that CTU students engaged with CPF would receive competitive allowances and benefits, underscoring the company’s dedication to nurturing and supporting young talents.

The collaborative effort between CTU and CPF not only signifies a mutually beneficial partnership but also underscores the importance of providing practical learning opportunities for students, preparing them for the challenges of the professional world while contributing to the growth and development of industries vital to the region’s economy.
