Cebu Technological University (CTU) is considered a top university in Eastern Visayas and the ASEAN region, as noted by Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U). To further enhance their educational practices, ISAT U conducted a benchmarking activity focused on the Internalization of Education at the Conference Hall, CN Building, CTU – Main, on March 5, 2024.
Dr. Gabriel M. Salistre Jr., the President of ISAT U, expressed their intention to accept international students starting in the first semester of the Academic year 2023-2024. The purpose of their visit to CTU was to gain insights into international mobility programs, understand policies and procedures, explore strategies for marketing the university to international students, and discuss the World Impact Rankings.
CTU warmly welcomed the ISAT U delegates, led by Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, the University President, accompanied by Dr. Rosein Ancheta Jr. (Vice-President for Operations), Dr. Reylan G. Capuno (Vice-President for Academic Affairs), JD Jerlito A. Letrondo (Vice-President for Administration and Finance), and Dr. Ramel Genobiagon (Campus Director).
During the visit, Dr. Felix Q. Pocong Jr., the University Director for Internalization and ASEAN Integration, addressed various questions from the ISAT U delegates. Additionally, Dr. Hana Astrid Tuñacao, Chair of Civil Engineering, engaged in discussions regarding different international rankings.
The ISAT U delegation composed of 20 representatives, including Dr. Gabriel M. Salistre, ISAT U President, and Dr. Corazon Corbal, who serves as the Vice President for Academic Affairs. This collaborative exchange aims to strengthen both institutions and foster a more globally connected and vibrant educational environment. / ICPA
