The Cebu Technological University – Main University has yet again celebrated a progressive milestone as it acknowledged its product of excellence in a joint recognition of the ECE (Electronics Engineering), EE (Electrical Engineering), and CE (Civil Engineering) board passers and topnotchers held at the CTU Gymnasium last May 21, 2024.
CTU maintained its streak on dominating the boards as it again produced two top notchers of the Civil Engineers Licensure Exam (CELE).
Jonash Aldrin Juntong clinched the 5th spot of the boards with a rating of 92.95%, while Renz Greg Ducay took the 10th spot with a rating of 91.85%.
Among the 4,436 passers of the CELE, 71 examinees from CTU-Main passed the board giving the University a 72.48% passing rate. The EELE (Electrical Engineers Licensure Exam) on the other hand gave CTU a 76.67% passing rate as 64 of its examinees passed the exams out of the 4,436 passers. While in the ECE (Electronics Engineers Licensure Exam) however, 12 were able to pull through out of the 1,330 passers, giving the CTU-Main a 60.00% overall performance.
The Joint Recognition was supported by the various organizations of the Engineering department of CTU. Among them are the PICE (Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers), Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) and the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE).
In his inspirational talk, Dr. Ronald Galindo, Dean of the College of Engineering, reminds the newly licensed Engineers of the realities of their work and the ethics that goes with it. The recognition has been an annual tradition of CTU as every year the University never fails to produce its footprints of excellence in the field.
