The Cebu Technological University-Main Campus successfully hosted the three-day training on Institutional Accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Inc. held at the CTU Gymnasium on May 28-30, 2024.
Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, the University President, officially welcomed the 220 representatives from 49 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) nationwide who attended the training. Dr. Gregorio Z. Gamboa, Jr., the AACCUP Chair and President delivered an inspirational message that encouraged all participants to strive for excellence and to continue to uphold the organization’s objectives. The event was also graced by the presence of the Executive Director of AACCUP, Dr. Milabel E. Ho, who gave the Statement of Purpose and likewise was the first speaker on the first day of the training.
The three-day event highlighted a series of workshops. The first day focused on reviewing relevant documents to be used in IA per Area, while the second day was more on team Decisions and writing the Report. The third day however emphasized the outputs of the workshop. Each group was called to present their workshop results according to the chosen IA area.
The university is dedicated to hosting more academic, collaborative, and transformative events to further academic undertakings and drive excellence in education.
