On July 25, 2024, Cebu Technological University (CTU) Main Campus welcomed Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) officials for a benchmarking activity to share best practices. The benchmarking started with a warm welcome speech by Dr. Ramel Genobiagon, Campus Director of CTU Main Campus. He also highlighted the CTU’s rich history and achievements.

Ms. Josephine A. Villa, Guidance Services Specialist, introduced the CTU guidance counselors along with a SAS Staff to the SKSU delegates, including Ms. Jeel Christine De Egurrola, Guidance Counselor, Ms. Jerame Nacua, Guidance Counselor Ms. Pearl Jane Bongcales, part-time Guidance Counselor, and Ms. Rogie C. Ancla, SAS Staff.

Joselyn H. Bacera, Director of the Guidance and Testing Center at the SKSU introduced the officials accompanying her, including Judy E. Tiaรฑa, a Guidance Counselor and Production Coordinator from the Palimbang Campus, Amy M. Padernal, a Guidance Facilitator from the Kalamansig Campus, Virginia E. Publico, a Guidance Counselor from the Tacurong Campus, Mr. Mark F. Onia, the designated Psychometrician and Licensed Psychologist from Access Campus, and Jeneveve M. Nicolas, a Guidance Staff member.

Ms. Villa led the benchmarking proper, discussing CTU’s guidance and admission best practices. The presentation highlighted CTU’s innovative actions toward mental health support initiatives and the admission process. The visit concluded with a tour of the different offices at the administration building.
