Cebu Technological University (CTU) commenced Day 3 of the Face-To-Face Research Session in collaboration with Kalambuan sa Lambuang Nasud Inc., National Research Council of the Philippines, Philippine Association of Research Managers 7, and Philippine Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology on August 19, 2024, held at 6/F Function Hall, Centennial Building, CTU-Main Campus. The Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) participants convened for a research discussion with the following theme: “Sustaining Research Capabilities for the Futures Initiatives: Research Capability Building for Beginner and Novice Researchers.”
Dr. Adrian P. Ybaรฑez, Vice President for Research and Development, introduced the CTU OVPRD Structure and Services – Different UDs and University Level Offices. “Research can be a career,” said Dr. Ybaรฑez, emphasizing the importance and impact of research in one’s career field. He urged the participants not just to produce groundbreaking research but also to learn how to make it impactful to the community.
In regards to the World University Rankings, Dr. Ybaรฑez confirmed that the number one (1) requirement for ranking, aside from the website, is publication. “Please help CTU to have more attachments by publishing,” he asked. It was stated during the research session that more orientation will be conducted regarding to publishing more research papers and articles.
