Three professors from the CTU Danao campus attended the 4th International Research and Education Conference in New York City, USA held on June 29-July 6, 2024, with the theme: “Trailblazing the Futures of Education Initiative: A Commitment to Renewed Perspectives through Global Collaboration.”
On July 1, 2024, the Association of Filipino Teachers and Educators in America (AFTEA) awarded the research presenters. Dr. Edralin A. General from the College of Education, Arts and Sciences and the Chairperson of Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) of CTU Danao received the Roberto N. Padua Memorial Award for Excellence in Research Presentation as the best paper presenter in Track 6: Futures Thinking for Education Stakeholders. Additionally, she was honored with the Sapphire Service Award at the National Teaching Service Awards.
The Roberto N. Padua Memorial Award for Excellence in Research Presentation was also given to Dr. Lislee C. Valle, the dean of the College of Education, Arts, and Sciences. Dr. Valle placed third in Track 1: Education for Sustainable Development. She also won the National Teaching Service Awards’ coveted Diamond Service Award.
Dr. Ivy A. Batican of the College of Management and Entrepreneurship placed second best presenter in Track 3: Quality Assurance Mechanism in Institutions of Learning. Additionally, she received recognition from the National Teaching Service Awards with the Sapphire Service Award. Dr. Batican also received the Roberto N. Padua Memorial Award for Excellence in Research Presentation.
