With the Kabataan sa Kalambuan Phase 2, the Cebu Technological University (CTU) and Barangay Opao, Mandaue City, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that intends to focus more on proper waste management. The MOA signing was held today, August 20, 2024, on the 6th Floor, QA Conference Room, Admin Building, CTU โ€“ Main Campus. Present during the MOA signing were Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, University President of CTU; Dr. Ramel C. Genobiagon, CTU Campus Director; Ms. Charmaine Lee M. Cabrera, LPT, University Director for Extension Services; Dr. Edwin B. Andaya, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Dean; Simeon C. Bernados, Jr., MA-Anthro, Extension Chair of CAS; Dr. Christian Ray C. Licen, project leader of this program; Dr. Mirasol Lim, the chair of English and Literary studies; and Hon. Jayvee Armamento together with Hon. Kyle Andreev H. Semblante from Brgy. Opao.

โ€œRest assured that SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) will have full support and commitment for the success of this project between CTU and Brgy. Opao,” assured by Hon. Kyle Andreev H. Semblante, Brgy. Opao Sangguniang Kabataan Chair. Workshops and trainings on recycling and upcycling are set to take place in September. These events aim to share and impart knowledge and best practices about waste management.
