Faculty from the different CTU campuses convened for the 2-day research affair entitled, โ€œGrantsmanship Essentials: Capacity Building for Crafting Fundable Proposals,โ€ led by Dr. Adrian P. Ybanez, Vice President for Research and Development, on September 16-17, 2024, at the Function Hall, 6th Floor Centennial Building, CTU – Main Campus. Participants of this activity are faculty who submitted GAA research proposals for 2025, with fields under Agriculture, Fisheries, Engineering and Technology.

Key officials present during this research endeavor were Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, University President; Dr. Adrian Ybanez, Vice President for Research and Development; Ms. Christine M. Corrales, OIC โ€“ University Director for Research and Development; Dr. Juvy B. Malonjao, University Director for Grants and Administration; and Dr. Ana Myril C. Tiu, University Director for University Research Ethics Office.

The following areas were discussed and performed in the 2-day event: Grantsmanship โ€“ GAA funded projects towards external grants and faculty reclassification; Impactful research and its sound utilization for faculty advancement; Review on Deep-diving Literature for Impactful research endeavors; Review on proposal forms for GAA funded projects; Workshop; Mentoring and Consultation of proponents; and Final Mentoring and Project Proposal Presentation. The purpose of this meeting is to refine the research proposals that align with the institution and external funding criteria to contribute to the publication outputs and resource generation efforts.
