Newly hired and promoted employees of Cebu Technological University (CTU) engaged in a two-day onboarding orientation organized by the Human Resource Management Office, on October 22-23, 2024, which took place at the Quality Assurance Conference Room, CTU-Main.

Present during the orientation were CTU key officials, Dr. Ramel C. Genobiagon, Campus Director, who delivered a short, uplifting message to the newly hired employees; JD Jerlito A. Letrondo, VP for Administration and Finance, talked about the update on the administrative policies, and overview of other relevant policies; Dr. Jana Gloria F. Almerino, SADOF (HRMO IV), delivered an insightful discourse on the University VMGO, Core Values, RA 6713, and University Strategic Direction; Dr. Rosein A. Ancheta Jr., VP for Production, Extension, and Resource Generation (PERG), Dr. Adrian P. Ybaรฑez, VP for Research and Development, and Dr. Reylan G. Capuno were also the esteemed keynote speakers.

On the first day, Mr. Irvin A. Narsico, Administrative Officer V, presented the objectives of the general orientation. Atty. Christian T. Bacus, Attorney III, had an extensive discussion on the rules on administrative cases in the Civil Service. The Human Resource Management System and Policies were thoroughly tackled by Ms. Christine Angel R. Rocamora, Admin Officer IV, Mr. Narsico, and Dr. Almerino.

And the respected speakers during the last day of the onboarding orientation were Dr. Almerino, Mr. Narsico; Atty. Marvey J. Arnoco-Ocampo, Dean of Student Affairs and Services; Dr. Regina E. Sitoy, Dr. Josephine A. Villa, Guidance Specialist IV; Ms. Jeel Christine de Egurrola, Guidance Counselor, Ms. Jennifer V. Enriquez, President, CTUMC-FA; Mr. Glenn L. Trajano, President, CTUMC-FA; Engr. Teresita B. Capin, GAD Chairperson; and Ms. Bernadette F. Mante, University Quality Management Representative. Dr. Amelia Girly L. Aranas, OIC CAO Admin, left a noteworthy message to the newly hired and promoted employees during her closing remarks.

Among the major topics that were discussed during the last day of orientation were the scholarship for employees; student affairs and services; talk on suicide prevention; CTU Main non-teaching association; gender and development; and discussion on quality assurance (ISO 9001:2015), academic policies, research and development, and PERG.

After the imperative talks, the HRMO personnel administered pre-test and post-test, L&D evaluation, and needs assessment survey. The last day of the orientation wrapped up with photo documentation.
