Cebu Technological University’s Office of the Vice President for Research and Development through the Office of Grants and Administration holds a 2-day research affair entitled, “Grantsmanship Essentials: Capacity Building for Crafting Fundable Proposals,” on September 30-October 1, 2024 at One Central Hotel, Cebu City.
Dr. Adrian P. Ybanez, Vice President for Research and Development, gave a comprehensive lecture-discussion on Grantsmanship Essentials to help faculty researchers align their research proposals to the funding agencies perspectives as he also highlights the importance of doing research projects that are both fundable and publishable.
GAA Research proposals for 2025 from the fields of Arts, Sciences and Education undergo review and evaluation of their crafted proposals. This is the last batch of participants for the training. The topics that were tackled are the following: GrantsmanshipโGAA funded projects towards external grants and faculty reclassification; Impactful research and its sound utilization for faculty advancement; Review on Deep-diving Literature for Impactful research endeavors; Review on proposal forms for GAA funded projects; Workshop; Mentoring and Consultation of proponents; and Final Mentoring and Project Proposal Presentation. This activity aims to refine the research proposals that align with the institution and external funding criteria to contribute to the publication outputs and resource generation efforts.
