Cebu Technological University (CTU) is recognized as one of the awardees for the Internationalization, Champion of Nation-building and Sustainability Awards (ICONS Awards) 2024 in Region VII. Based on the official social media post of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) International Affairs Service, they will be giving recognition to the Philippine Universities that have surmounted in international rankings (QS, THE, and WURI), passed the AUN QA Institutional Assessment, and became AUN QA Associate Member Universities in 2024.

CTU is one of the HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) that have significantly made remarkable strides on the global stage in academic excellence, research, and innovation. To be part of the ICONS AWARDS 2024, upholds CTU’s commitment to be a center of excellence not just in the country but across the globe.

This impressive milestone proves that CTU is consistently progressing to be a reputable and globally competitive institution. Along with Cebu Technological University, universities in Region VII who are also awardees for the ICONS Awards 2024 are Cebu Institute of Technology University; Cebu Normal University; Cebu Normal University โ€“ Medellin; and University of San Carlos.

The ICONS Awards 2024 highlights the celebration of the HEIs in the Philippines that have excelled globally through international rankings and exceptional initiatives that have refined the internationalization of university programs, research, student services, best practices, and innovative projects, among others.
