Cebu Technological University’s Main and Tuburan campuses undergo a three-day online accreditation survey visits for Level 4 Phase 2 and Level 3 Phase 2 programs, headed by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc., from November 20 to 22, 2024, at the Centennial Building, CTU-Main, and via virtual meeting.
Programs to be evaluated in CTU-Main Campus are Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Industrial Engineering, and BS in Civil Engineering. While on the CTU-Tuburan campus, there are the following programs: Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, Bachelor of Arts in English Language major in English Language Studies as Discipline, and BS in Hospitality Management. The other programs are the BS in Information Technology, Master of Arts in Education, with a major in Administration and Supervision, and BS in Agriculture, with majors in Agronomy, Animal Science, and Horticulture.
Partaking this endeavor were CTU key officials, namely Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, University President, who was represented by CTU-Main campus director Dr. Ramel C. Genobiagon; CTU-Tuburan campus director Dr. Ma. Carla Y. Abaquita; Dr. Meralei J. Lawas, University Director for Quality Assurance; Prof. Nestor C. Competente, Coordinator – Level IV Ph 2; Dr. Joan V. Rivera, Coordinator – Level III Ph 2; Dr. Analyn M. Gamit, Coordinator – Level III Ph 2, together with other twenty-one (21) AACCUP Accreditors; Engr. Junjun A. Obiso, Associate Dean, COE- Main; Dr. Jonathan A. Miraballes, QA Chairperson, COE- Main; Dr. Rowena P. Abaquita, CTU- Tuburan Dean of Instruction; and Local Task Force of both campuses.
The accreditation activities will proceed on November 21, 2024. On the last day of the AACCUP online accreditation survey visit, November 22, 2024, they will include the following: Synthesis of Evaluation Result, Pledge of Commitment, and the awarding of certificates.
