Cebu Technological University joins the country in commemorating the 161st birth anniversary of Gat Andres Bonifacio.

Andres Bonifacio, widely regarded as the “Father of the Philippine Revolution,” stands as a symbol of courage, patriotism, and unwavering resolve in the face of oppression. Born on November 30, 1863, Bonifacio rose from humble beginnings to become the leader of the Katipunan, a secret revolutionary society that sought independence from Spanish colonial rule. His heroism lies not only in his willingness to fight for freedom but also in his deep belief in the power of the Filipino people to determine their own destiny. Through his leadership, writings, and ultimate sacrifice, Bonifacio inspired a nation to unite to pursue liberty and justice. His legacy continues to serve as a beacon of hope and determination for generations of Filipinos.
