Cebu Technological University campuses converge for a five-day โCDIO Curriculum Integration and Cascading to all Engineering Programsโ initiative on November 25 to 29, 2024, at San Remegio, Cebu.
This university-wide event is spearheaded by CTUโs Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) office. Today, November 26, 2024, Dr. Reylan G. Capuno, Vice President for Academic Affairs, is warmly welcomed by all, along with Dr. Maria Elena A. Aparente, University Director for CDIO; CTU CDIO PMT Engr. Al Emmanuel L. Caballes; and the CTU CDIO PMTs, namely Engr. Delfa G. Castilla, Dr. Ve Leslie E. Atanoza, and Engr. Teresita B. Capin.
Participants from CTUโs satellite and extension campuses in Argao, Bantayan, Daanbantayan, Danao, Dumanjug, Moalboal, San Francisco, Tabogon, Tuburan, and Main, gathered for this five-day discussion.
The first two days focused on cascading CDIO 12 standards: The Context, Learning Outcomes, Integrated Curriculum, Introduction to Engineering, Design-Implement Experiences, Engineering Workspaces, Integrated Learning Experiences, Active Learning, Enhancement of Faculty Competence, Enhancement of Faculty Teaching Competence, Learning Assessment, and Program Evaluation. For the upcoming days, it will cover CDIO curriculum integration, syllabus enhancement with CDIO integration, presentation, and workshops.
Discussions and workshops resume today. This undertaking aims to enhance all engineering programs offered by CTU by aligning its curriculum with industry needs and global standards and fortifying industry partnerships and accreditation, among other matters.
