The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. visit the Cebu Technological University-Main and Argao campuses for a three-day online accreditation starting today, November 12, 2024.
The visit centers on the following programs: Main Campus; Bachelor of Secondary Education, majors in Mathematics and Technology and Livelihood Education (4th Survey Phase 1 Revisit, Area VI), and Argao Campus; Bachelor of Industrial Technology, majors in Automotive Technology, Electronics Technology, Drafting Technology, and Garments Technology (3rd Survey Phase 1 Revisit, Areas V and IX).
During the opening program, Dr. Maria Salud M. delos Santos, University Director for Curriculum, Planning, and Development, warmly welcomed all the participants, on behalf of Dr. Reylan G. Capuno, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Meralei J. Lawas, UD for Quality Assurance, introduced the accreditor while Dr. Manuel A. Sanchez, Jr., from Iloilo Science and Technology University, presented the statement of purpose and overview of the accreditation process.
CTU key officials were introduced by Dr. Lawas, followed by the presentation of the Local Task Force by QA Chairpersons Dr. Danilo F. Cebe from CTU-Main, and Dr. Anesito D. Cutillas from CTU-Argao. After the opening, Dr. Sanchez facilitated a virtual meeting and orientation, in which the college deans, program chairpersons, and members of the Local Task Force participated. The afternoon session involved a document review and evaluation by Dr. Sanchez.
On the second day, November 13, 2024, a presentation of the compliance report for the revisit areas will be conducted. Dr. Sanchez will validate activities through the triangulation method, including a virtual tour and virtual interviews. The closing program will be held on November 14, 2024, followed by continuing the review and evaluation of the critical documents and further validation activities until Saturday.
