The Cebu Technological University-Main Campus College of Education proudly implemented: TINDUG BHW: Tawag Inisyatiba Inubanag Gugma alang sa mga Barangay Health Workers, a GAA-Funded community extension project aimed at enhancing the mental health awareness, communication skills, and stress management capabilities of twenty-three (23) female Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) from Brgy. Inoburan, City of Naga, Cebu.
Conducted from May to November 2024, the 40-hour training culminated on November 22, 2024, with the participants showcasing their self-designed, culturally sensitive, and community-specific wellness programs. In partnership with the Inoburan Barangay Council and backed by CTU College of Education Degree Programs: BEED, BSED-Values, and MAED/Dev.Ed.D. Guidance and Counseling programs, the initiative was led by Project Leader Dr. Jabin Deguma and a dedicated team of educators.
The project signified CTUโs commitment to community engagement and the development of resilient and empowered grassroots health workers.
