The “Alternative, Relevant, and Active Learning” (ARAL) project, initiated by the Cebu Technological University-Main Campus College of Education in partnership with AGAK Foundation Inc., is a GAA-funded community extension effort aimed at addressing post-pandemic literacy challenges in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu.
Conducted from May to October 2024, this 40-hour training empowered AGAK volunteers by providing them with culturally relevant and targeted educational support. As key participants in the project, these volunteers were equipped with enhanced teaching skills and a deeper understanding of effective pedagogy and technology integration, preparing them to make a greater impact in their community. Led by CTUโs dedicated faculty from the BEEd, BECEd, MaEd-ECE, and Dev.Ed.D programs, the training emphasized adaptability and resilience.
Aligned with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), the project demonstrated CTUโs unwavering commitment to fostering community-based solutions, educational empowerment, and sustainable development.
