On November 29, 2024, the Office of the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) of Cebu Technological University concluded its five-day seminar on โ€œCDIO Curriculum Integration and Cascading to all Engineering Programsโ€ starting from November 25-29, 2024, held at Hagnaya, San Remegio, Cebu.

On the fourth day, University President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito paid a visit and showed his support for the CDIO team, and underscored the essence of this CDIO initiative in fostering and enhancing CTU’s Engineering programs. Dr. Reylan C. Capuno, Vice President for Academic Affairs, has backed this CDIO undertaking which aims to heighten student learning outcomes and success.

This initiative was led by Dr. Maria Elena A. Aparente, University Director for CDIO; Dr. Eingilbert C. Benolirao, CDIO team leader; and the CDIO PMTs, namely Engr. Al Emmanuel L. Caballes, Engr. Delfa G. Castilla, Dr. Ve Leslie E. Atanoza, and Engr. Teresita B. Capin.

Throughout the sessions, participants from distinct CTU satellite and extension campuses underwent in-depth discussions on the twelve (12) CDIO Standards, CDIO Curriculum Integration, Syllabus Enhancement with CDIO Integration, Engineering PEO and PO, presentations, and workshops. On the last day, the CDIO team held the awarding of certificates to the attendees.

The CDIO office seeks university-wide adaption and integration of CDIO initiatives across all engineering programs of CTU.
