The 18-Day Campaign Against Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC), held annually from November 25 to December 12, emphasizes the urgent need to prevent and eliminate violence against women and children. This nationwide initiative inspires collective action to ensure their safety and rights, fostering a culture of respect and equality through education and community mobilization.
Cebu Technological University (CTU), in partnership with the Municipality of Daanbantayan Gender and Development Office, is actively addressing VAWC through a series of educational seminars across barangays in Daanbantayan. Led by Marlou C. Godinez, University Director for Gender and Development, these seminars empower communities with the knowledge and resources to stand against violence and promote lasting change.
