All first-year and second-year students at CTU-Main Campus participate in the two-day Cybercrime and Social Media Violations Seminar from January 7 to 8, 2025, at the Cebu Tech Gymnatorium, CTU-Main.
This initiative is hosted by CTU’s Student Affairs and Services in partnership with the Legal Office, alongside IECEP CTUโElectronics Engineering, ICPEP SE-CTU Main, Google Developer Groups on Campus-Cebu Technological University, and CTU PSITS Organization.
The event highlights an extensive discussion on cybercrime, Republic Act No. 10175 or the “Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012,” cybercrime offenses, the consequences of violating RA 10175, and penalties, among other topics. Speaker Atty. Christian T. Bacus from the Legal Office also stressed the importance of protecting personal information, responsible online behavior, and social media safety.
As part of the university’s digital literacy initiative, students are provided with critical knowledge and resources to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
