In a coordination meeting yesterday, February 21, Cebu Technological University (CTU)’s Gender and Development (GAD) directors and coordinators convened to discuss matters relevant to its programs and plans, bolster their initiatives, and advance gender equality and development.

CTU-Main campus director Dr. Gregorio P. Pajaron Jr., encouraged open discussion, saying, “I encourage you to share your insights, experiences, and recommendations openly.” Dr. Pajaron also highlighted the essential practices that address gender-based violence, promoting positive change and a healthy environment for all.

The meeting featured a significant turnover from Ms. Marlou C. Godinez, the previous GAD University Director from CTU-Daanbantayan, to Ms. Mary Jane C. Sim, the new GAD OIC-University Director from CTU-Main.

Among the key agenda items discussed were the 2024 GAD Accomplishment Report, the 2025 GAD Plan and Budget, activities for Women’s Month, and AACCUP audit documents and instruments.

The GAD directors and coordinators came from various CTU campuses, including Carmen, Tuburan, Pinamungahan, Argao, Moalboal, Consolacion, Barili, San Francisco, CCMSC, Daanbantayan, Bantayan, Tabogon, San Remigio, Danao, Naga, and San Fernando.

The meeting provided GAD directors and coordinators with the opportunity to discuss essential matters, collaboratively set goals and targets, and share top practices to align efforts and improve GAD implementation.
