Cebu Technological University (CTU) formally begins its five-day “Evaluation of Community Extension Project Proposals for 2025 GAA Funding” initiative today, February 10, at the Conference Hall, CN Building, CTU-Main.
Led by the University Extension Services Office, this proposal evaluation runs from February 10 to 14, bringing together all extension directors/chairpersons, and community extension project proponents/presenters, among others, from the university’s various community extension teams.
Today’s gathering was partaken by the CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, VP for Production, Extension, and Resource Generation Dr. Rosein A. Ancheta Jr., VP for Administration and Finance Dr. Ramel C. Genobiagon, Extension Chairperson Dr. Maria Elena A. Aparente, and OIC-University Director for Extension Ms. Charmaine Lee. M. Cabrera, among others.
The panel of evaluators for sessions A and B includes Dr. Pet Roey L. Pascual, VP for Research and Development; Hon. Denilin P. Bantulan, president of the Federation of the CTU Faculty Association; Hon. Antonio Del Socorro, president of the CTU Alumni Federation Association; Dr. Lynnette Matea S. Camello, UD for the Education for Sustainable Development; Mr. Roel J. Rigor, Environmental Planner/Trainer/Heritage and Cultural Affairs; and Dr. Aurelio P. Vilbar, director for Ugnayan ng Pahinungod, UP Cebu.
Throughout the five-day evaluation, the presentation and assessment of extension project proposals are for the morning sessions in Education, Arts & Sciences, and Management & Entrepreneurship, while the afternoon sessions include Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry & Veterinary, Technology, and Engineering.
This undertaking seeks to “determine GAA Funding allocation for community extension programs based on the requirement of the SUC Leveling Instrument and other performance evaluation measures (such as QS, THE, and PQA, among others),” and address the changing needs of the community and various extension teams of the university.
