The Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges visited the Biodiversity, Environment, and Natural Resources Research Center (BENRC) and Climate Change and Resiliency Center (CCRC) of Cebu Technological University-Argao Campus for benchmarking purposes on Thursday afternoon, March 13, 2025.

The campaign was aligned with their SUSOG-TUOD 2025: Center for Research in Integrative Social & Special Sciences and Policy and Rinconada Center for Environmental Sustainability’s Learning Visit in Visayas, which aimed to foster collaboration and to strengthen their research initiatives for both the CRIS3P and RiCES.

The aforementioned effort flagged the theme, โ€œBuilding on Foundations: Advancing Social Science and Environmental Research for Innovative and Sustainable Solutions.”

BENRC Director Professor Hemres M. Alburo accompanied the guests in the Center’s Conference Room, where he introduced the features that BENRC got through a presentation, including its background and history. Moreover, he led them as they toured the Biodiversity Museum, Food, Biology, and Chem/Tissue Culture Laboratories.

Along with BENRC, the guests acquired insights into the operations of the CCRC, led by Dr. Steve Michael T. Alcazar.

The said visitors were grouped into two groups, each consisting of four members. Apart from CTU Argao, the rest of their colleagues went to the CTU-Main Campus for the same reason and purpose.

โ€œโ€ฆaims to gain insights into best practices in social sciences, environmental research, disaster management, sustainability, and policy development,โ€ a part of their letter of intent issued on February 17, 2025.
