The Department of Trade and Industry Central Visayas Office (DTI-7) formally turned over the printing and packaging of Shared Service Facilities (SSF) to Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Main Campus, highlighting a Deed of Donation (DOD) signing today, March 4.
As a pioneering strategy of DTI, this SSF project aims to boost the productivity and efficiency of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) by providing enhanced access to cutting-edge technology.
During the turnover ceremony held at the President’s Office Conference Room, attendees included CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, vice presidents, deans and faculty, and DTI-7 representatives SSF Program Manager Grace M. Durano, Regional SSF Project Coordinator Rio Angelo B. Escobilla, and SSF Provincial Coordinator Clifford Dinopol.
In the DOD, the cooperators shall maintain and repair the facilities, and conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure the operational efficiency and optimal functionality of SSFs.
According to DTI, the SSF project seeks “to improve MSME competitiveness by providing machinery, equipment, tools, systems, accessories, and other auxiliary items, skills, and knowledge under a shared system.”
The provision of SSFs to CTU is a strategic initiative that can have a positive ripple effect on the economic progress of the region and the country.
