To strengthen collaboration and boost Teacher Education opportunities, Red River College Polytechnic delegates from Manitoba, Canada, revisited Cebu Technological University (CTU) on March 10, 2025, at CTU-Main Campus.
The visit focused on the discussions on the training format, content, and core values of the teacher preparation and teacher education opportunities at CTU. This initiative also covered teacher qualification training for faculty members, ensuring enhanced professional development.
During their visit, RRC Polytech delegates toured CTUโs cutting-edge laboratories and facilities in Mechatronics, Advanced Manufacturing, and Aviation Engineering, as well the shops at the Education building.
Recalling last September 30, 2024, the two institutions partnered through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing held at CTU-Main, demonstrating a shared commitment to academic and institutional excellence.
This shared collaboration signified the commitment of both institutions to advancing technical and vocational education, strengthening international collaboration, and boosting quality education and professional development.
RRC Polytechnic delegates included Mr. Bryan Meng, Manager of Global Engagement; Ms. Kerri Caldwell Korabeinikov, dean of the School of Education, Arts and Sciences; and Mr. Mark Blackner, Associate Dean, Transportation and Manufacturing.
CTU representatives were led by Executive Assistant IV Atty. Rodmarc P. Sanchez, who represented CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito. Also in attendance were CCICT Dr. Jose Maria S. Garcia II, who represented CTU-Main campus director Dr. Gregorio P. Pajaron Jr.; dean of COE Dr. Joecyn N. Archival; dean of COT Dr. Janice A. Alivio; and dean of COED Dr. Raymond C. Espina. College Associate Deans and Program Chairpersons also attended.
