Cebu Technological University (CTU) fortified its international ties with the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) by sending two engineering students, accompanied by a faculty member from the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE) department, to partake in the ‘Student Mobility Program at Teaching Factory’ held at UTHM, Malaysia, from March 8 to 14, 2025.
The ongoing collaboration between the two institutions further boosts their shared efforts and commitment to internationalization, academic growth, research, and innovation.
Engr. Ike A. Baguio, a faculty member from the BSIE department, accompanied two fourth-year students from the same department, Eber Arcenal Bustamante and Jasmine Denlauso Godinez, on an international education tour to UTHM, where they gained meaningful, intercultural, and enriching experiences.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Talib Bin Bon, Dr. Juliana Binti Abdul Halip, and Engr. Nurrudin Arrifin were among the UTHM representatives who welcomed the CTU delegates at their university.
The exchange of faculty members, research scholars, and students with credit transfer programs, joint research activities and publications, conferences, and special short-duration academic programs, are among the areas of cooperation mutually agreed upon by the parties, as stipulated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
