Cebu Technological University’s (CTU) San Francisco Campus, in coordination with the University’s Records Management and Archives Office, successfully hosted a seminar-workshop on Records Disposition Administration (RDA) at a local inn in San Francisco on March 31, 2025.
During the event, the University Director for Records, Ms. Evangeline Tarongoy, outlined the purpose and significance of the seminar. She emphasized the universityโs commitment to efficient records management in compliance with national policies.
The seminar-workshop featured Records Management Analyst II Mr. Marvin Erwin M. Supan, as the resource speaker, who underscored the critical role of government employees in the conduct of RDA, highlighting its foundation in Republic Act No. 9470, also known as the National Archives of the Philippines Act of 2007.
Participants from various CTU campuses engaged in an in-depth session and presentation on the Records Inventory and Appraisal Form, with hands-on guidance from the facilitator. The workshop provided practical knowledge on the proper keeping, management, and disposal of records, ensuring efficiency and compliance with archival standards.
The event concluded with a call to action from the facilitator, urging all employees to implement RDA practices in their respective offices to facilitate seamless records access and retrieval.
This initiative reinforces CTUโs commitment to efficient governance and responsible records management, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of institutional records.
