In collective efforts to back students’ financial education, Cebu Technological University (CTU) and Tzu Chi Foundation formally established a partnership by signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, April 8.
CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito and Tzu Chi Cebu Officer-In-Charge Mr. Nelson Reyes led the MOU signing, underscoring the Tzu Chi Educational Assistance Program for selected scholars enrolled at CTU.
In the MOU, the Tzu Chi Cebu aims to “provide educational assistance to underserved and less fortunate but deserving students through financial scholarship and grants,” while CTU, with expertise and advanced facilities, “to provide quality instruction and other development programs to enrolled students of their institution.”
Qualified and selected CTU scholar students will receive financial educational assistance, which comprises a monthly stipend and allowances for books, uniforms, internet, and projects, among others.
