In commitment to advancing the technical skills of ICPA and MIS chairs in managing CTU’s official website and social media pages, the four-day “WordPress Website Content Management and Maintenance” workshop began on April 22, 2025, at the Conference Hall, Centennial Building, CTU-Main.
The workshop featured key speaker Prof. Johannes M. Camasura, University Director for Automation, Innovation, and Computing, with topics covering the fundamentals of WordPress content management, enhancement of content with media, SEO and user engagement, content updates, performance and troubleshooting, and advanced content strategies and hands-on workshop.
The discussion focused on the introduction of WordPress, the creation and management of pages and posts, the utilization of WordPress block editor, the organization of website content, search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, and enhancement of engagement with comments and social sharing, among other topics.
This workshop is a continuation of the “Finalization of ICPA Operations Manual” led by the Office of Information, Communication, and Public Affairs (ICPA), which is essential in streamlining communication processes via a unified manual.
With the development of this manual and website management workshop, the ICPA and MIS chairs contribute to boosting CTU’s online presence locally and globally, through its published news content on university initiatives, achievements, and accomplishments.
The discussion and workshop series resume today and will conclude this Friday, April 25.
