Cebu Technological University (CTU) secured the 2024 Top Utility Model Filer during the Gawad Yamang Isip Awards Night held on April 25, 2025, in Paraรฑaque City, Metro Manila.
CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, together with ITSO Officer Dr. Jivulter Mangubat, received the award conferred by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). The said award is given to an individual or company with the highest IP filings in calendar year 2024.
The award reflects the university’s unyielding commitment to intellectual property excellence. The event, themed ‘IP and Philippine Music: Bringing the Pinoy Beat to the World,’ highlighted outstanding achievements in music, arts, and innovation across diverse industries nationwide.
This triumph is a testament to the CTU community’s unified vision and concerted effort through the leadership of Dr. Pepito and the support of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Development, as well as the joint efforts of the IPTBM Office and CTU-ITSO. Most notably, the dedication and brilliance of the faculty innovators, who persistently push boundaries and drive excellence in research, innovation, and creativity.
