Globe Telecom Inc. reinforced its partnership with Cebu Technological University (CTU) through a turnover ceremony of the Globe Merch and Digital Thumbprint program on April 3, 2025, at the CTU-Main Campus, featuring a meet-and-greet session with the newly appointed Deputy CEO of Globe Telecom, Mr. Carl Raymond R. Cruz.
In the meeting, Mr. Cruz stressed the significance of the partnership between Globe and CTU, underlining how Globe’s services will enhance CTU’s digital infrastructure via upgraded internet connectivity, thereby backing academic and research endeavors across CTU’s campuses.
Further, CTU’s administrative officials engaged in open talks with Globe representatives, voicing their positive experiences and current challenges and issues.
Meanwhile, at the CebuTech gym, students were immersed in an informative discussion led by Globe on “Common Risks of the Internet,” equipping them with the wisdom and skills to navigate the digital world and on how to make informed decisions. Among the key topics were online safety, privacy protection, and social media etiquette.
The collaboration enables CTU and Globe Telecom to integrate digital innovation and elevate excellence in education.
