On April 4, 2025, Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Barili Campus marked a significant milestone with the official groundbreaking ceremony for its Veterinary Medicine Building and Animal Hospital. The event signals a major step toward enhancing veterinary education and animal healthcare services.

In his welcome remarks, CTU-Barili campus director Dr. Romeo C. Lepiten emphasized the universityโ€™s commitment to academic excellence and community service.

Dr. Ruby H. Destajo, OIC-Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, followed with a comprehensive briefer on the proposed facility, outlining its role in advancing veterinary studies and animal welfare.

Dr. Ramel C. Genobiagon, Vice President for Administration and Finance and BAC Chairperson, then took the stage, paving the way for the ceremonial groundbreaking.

During the ceremony, the Municipal Mayor of Barili, Hon. Pablo John D. Garcia IV, and University President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, both expressed their strong support for the project and its impact on the community.

The upcoming Veterinary Medicine Building and Animal Hospital is set to become a premier hub for veterinary education, research, and clinical practice, providing advanced facilities for students and professionals in the field.
