To streamline and unify the ICPA Operations Manual, chairs of the Information, Communication, and Public Affairs (ICPA) and Management Information System (MIS), along with campus directors across CTU’s satellite and extension campuses convened for collaborative talks, at the Conference Hall, Centennial Building, CTU-Main Campus.
The five-day initiative, running from April 21 to 25, aims to streamline the university’s communication processes and protocols through a unified ICPA Operations Manual and enrich the technical skills of ICPA and MIS chairs through a website management and maintenance workshop.
Led by the University Director for ICPA, Dr. Cristie Ann L. Jaca, the discussion centered on the revision and finalization of the manual, which is a crucial step in enhancing CTU’s branding, operational efficiency, and consistency across the university.
Key topics included the revision of the ICPA forms, communication flow and processes, website access to ICPA chairs, establishment of six ‘page contributors’ per campus, ICPA’s citizen’s charter, guidelines for posting and news writing, and laws linked to information and privacy, among other things.
On days two to five, Prof. Johannes M. Camasura, University Director for Automation, Innovation, and Computing, will lead the “WordPress Content Management and Maintenance Training Workshop.”
The workshop will center on the fundamentals of WordPress content management, enhancing content with media, SEO and user engagement, content updates, performance and troubleshooting, advanced content strategies, and hands-on workshop.
CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito backed this initiative, reinforcing the ICPA and MIS chairs’ commitment to fortifying their efforts in implementing streamlined guidelines, processes, and operations.
The ICPA Operations Manual is developed to serve as a standard reference for all stakeholders, facilitating an explicit understanding of the communication protocols and information management across the university.
