In line with its commitment to enhancing international academic collaborations, Cebu Technological University (CTU) reaffirmed its partnerships with Hanbat National University (HBNU) and Gongju National University of Education (GJNUE) in South Korea.
During the visit to HBNU in Daejeon, South Korea, CTU renewed its partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) facilitated by Dr. Hwang Seon-Pyo and other HBNU faculty members, with the support of HBNU President Dr. Oh Yong-Jun. During the campus tour, the CTU delegation had a brief but meaningful encounter with Hon. Lee Jang-woo, Mayor of Daejeon, further highlighting HBNUโs commitment to the partnership. The collaboration aims to strengthen efforts in education, research, student and faculty exchange, and the development of innovative academic strategies.
Meanwhile, CTU delegates also visited GJNUE in Gongju, South Korea, where both institutions reinforced their partnership by exploring opportunities for international student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, and the sharing of best practices to achieve institutional excellence. The CTU delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Sung Yong Kwon, President of GJNUE, along with other faculty members, who expressed strong enthusiasm for continuing and expanding the collaboration.
The visits, held from May 21 to 23, 2025, were led by Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, President of CTU, accompanied by Engr. Alex C. Mayor Jr., Infrastructure and Planning Officer, Arch. Leo Edwin Mutia, and Engr. Dave Kerwin Bolarin.
