On May 30, 2025, the 566th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) unit of Cebu Technological University Daanbantayan Campus in the Philippines conducted its Local Annual General Tactical Inspection (LAGTI) under the leadership of Campus Director Dr. Ruben Ungui, NSTP Director Prof. Feleixberto Lucabon Jr., and ROTC Coordinator Prof. George Geollina, PN (Res.).
The inspection was carried out by officers from the Naval Reserve Center Eastern Visayas, including ENS Mairz Lupa, PN, PO2 Buenaventura Butawan, PN, SN1 Jake De Vera, PN, and SN1 John Paul Novero, PN, with additional support from Junior Inspectors SN1 Marlon Arsolon, PN(Res.) and SN2 Jomamel Pepito, PN (Res.).
The program featured a series of tactical demonstrations, including company drills, raid and ambush simulations, and a unit briefing, all of which showcased the cadetsโ discipline, coordination, and combat readiness.
In his address, Dr. Ungui inspired cadets to serve the nation with honor, integrity, and a deep sense of patriotism. The event was strongly supported by faculty, staff, and students from the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Literacy Training Service (LTS) programs, emphasizing the university’s ongoing commitment to leadership development and national service.
