The College of Education at Cebu Technological University (CTU) Main Campus is setting its sights on a dynamic and goal-driven academic year ahead, following a successful three-day Strategic Planning and Seminar held from June 2 to 4, 2025 at a hotel in Cebu City.
With the theme โFrom Data to Direction: Strategic Planning for Academic Achievement,โ the seminar gathered faculty leaders and stakeholders to establish key targets for Academic Year 2025-2026. Each day of the event tackled essential components of academic advancement and institutional development.
Day 1 underlined Research Grants, Presentation, and Publication, guided by Dr. Emerson Peteros. The session emphasized building a robust research culture and strengthening faculty participation in local and international academic dissemination.
On Day 2, participants explored Purposeful Extension with Dr. Jabin Deguma, who underscored the importance of community-driven programs and sustainable outreach initiatives. This was followed by a session on Data Banking of Test Questions with Dr. Raymond Espina, promoting assessment efficiency and academic integrity through systematic test item management.
The seminar concluded on Day 3 with Dr. Emma Sacan, who led an intensive workshop on Budgeting Practices and Institutional Goals and Priorities. Faculty members engaged in strategic alignment of resources with projected educational outcomes and performance targets.
The event highlighted the College of Education’s unwavering commitment to excellence, positioning itself as a leading force in transformative teacher education for the incoming academic year.
