Daanbantayan, Cebu โ June 3, 2025 โ Cebu Technological University (CTU) Daanbantayan Campus proudly welcomed five Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management students who recently completed their international On-the-Job Training (OJT) internships in Thailand and Hong Kong.
The students arrived from Phuket, Thailand on May 15, 2025, and from Hong Kong on May 21, 2025. To mark their return and celebrate their achievements, a courtesy call with the University officials took place on June 4, 2025, at the Office of the University President.
Dr. Tracy L. Mantos, Chair of the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP), led the courtesy visit, with Dr. Ruben M. Ungui, Campus Director; Dr. Lovella Christianne A. Gulle, Director of the College of Technology and Engineering; and Prof. Anthony S. Toรฑacao, Chairperson of the Hospitality Management Program.
The event honored the interns’ successful completion of their overseas training, highlighted their key learnings, and underscored the universityโs strong commitment to global academic engagement. The students shared their experiences of cultural immersion and professional development, emphasizing the impact of international exposure in shaping their competencies in the hospitality industry.
The success of the returning interns serves as an inspiration for other students to take part in global internship opportunities. CTU Daanbantayan encourages all students to embrace international training as a powerful tool for personal growth, cross-cultural understanding, and enhanced career readiness.
