𝗩𝗦𝗠𝗠𝗖 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗼 𝗟𝘂𝗴𝗮 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗧𝗨-𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻

Honoring its valuable contributions to altruistic blood donation, Cebu Technological University (CTU) Main Campus received the notable Mateo Luga Award, conferred by the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC ) during the ‘Adlaw Pasalamat sa Dugong Halad’ held on June 24, 2025, at a hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.

This annual event by VSMMC recognizes blood donation partners and voluntary donors. Remarkably, a total of 108 units were collected from CTU-Main NSTP students during VSMMC’s mobile blood donation activities held on December 7, 2024.

Additionally, CTU obtained a Certificate of Appreciation for its “exceptional dedication and remarkable contribution towards the achievement of safe and quality blood supply for our community.”

The awards were accepted by CTU’s NSTP chairperson Ms. Belenda P. Babiera, NSTP instructor Ms. Shajara Serate, and outgoing ROTC Corps Commander Jun Jie Fabre.

This annual event, facilitated by the VSMMC’s Department of Pathology, acknowledges the vital role of altruistic blood donors in saving lives and inspiring hope.
