Cebu Technological University (CTU) sets a new benchmark for global educational excellence as thirty-six of its student interns completed their 6-month international internship in Hong Kong and Thailand.
These student interns hail from the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) and BS in Tourism Management (BSTM) programs at CTU’s campuses in Barili, Carmen, Daanbantayan, Danao, San Francisco, and Tuburan.
During a courtesy visit on June 4, CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the student interns for their dedication and perseverance in acquiring essential skills in the hospitality and tourism industry. Dr. Pepito also stressed the immense value and significance of the opportunity afforded to them.
Selected students and faculty also shared their valuable learnings, positive feedback on their performance, meaningful and fond experiences, and the challenges they encountered, shedding light on the personal and professional growth they acquired and the insightful reflections on their time abroad.
The CTU student interns from Thailand and Hong Kong embarked on their internships from November 23, 2024, to May 15, 2025, and November 25, 2024, to May 21, 2025, respectively.
Part of this gathering included Dr. Romeo P. Montecillo, vice president for Student Affairs; Dr. Reylan G. Capuno, vice president for Academic Affairs; Ms. Jennifer B. Verances, OIC-UD of Internationalization and ASEAN Integration; Dr. Regina E. Sitoy, SIAP director; and university directors from various campuses.
