To fortify internationalization efforts, Cebu Technological University (CTU) formalized a partnership with JP-Holdings Inc., Japan, through signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 17, 2025, at the University President’s Office.

This collaboration offers internship opportunities for CTU students in Japan, as well as programs related to academic, research, and extension services.

JP Holdings representatives were led by its CEO, Mr. Tohru Sakai, along with local government officials from Mifune Town, Kikonai Town, and Kameoka City in Japan, and the Superintendent of Education for a Japanese municipality.

Meanwhile, CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito was represented by his Executive Assistant IV, along with CTU Main Campus Director, UD for Internationalization and ASEAN Integration, Director for Student Internship Abroad Program, and COEd faculty.

Among the programs stipulated in the MOU are “Joint-research and publication activities; Joint teaching programs; Joint extension and outreach services and programs; Exchange of Foreign Languages Courses and other special courses; and Cooperative projects on internationalization, sustainable development goals, educational tourism, language, culture and arts.”

Through this partnership, CTU and JP-Holdings Inc., Japan, establish meaningful connections, share goals, and boost global ties in education and societal progress.
