As part of the university’s constant pursuit of excellence and innovation, the College of Technology (COT) of CTU Main Campus and Toyota Material Handling Philippines embarked on discussions for a potential partnership that aligns with CTU’s mission and long-term goals.
Held on July 24, 2025, this prospective collaboration could open new doors for shared expertise, resource integration, and sustainable development, especially in the field of Automotive Technology.
Preliminary discussions have revealed a strong synergy between the two collaborators, leading to a significant impact and value for the stakeholders.
Toyota Material Handling Philippines was represented by President Arnold Chung. Meanwhile, CTU Main’s COT was headed by Dr. Janice A. Alivio, COT College Dean; Dr. Maria Esther Medalla, Associate Dean; Dr. Gerwine Medio, Overall Coordinator for OJT; Prof. Jeffrey Dela Calzada, Chairperson for Automotive Technology; Dr. Larry Gantalao, Automotive Technology Faculty; and Engr. Annelle C. Rubio, CTU Daanbantayan representative.
While still in the initial stages, both parties have expressed genuine interest in formalizing a working relationship that could enhance the capabilities of the College of Technology, and by that, the College is hopeful that this new alliance will serve as a model for future collaborations.
