In its unwavering commitment to community responsiveness and sustainable development, Cebu Technological University (CTU) Naga Extension Campus formally entered into a partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) โ City of Naga Division through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on July 23, 2025, held at City of Naga Division Office.
The agreement was signed by CTU Naga Campus Director Atty. Marvey A. Ocampo and Mr. Ronald G. Gutay, Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd Naga. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Roselyn T. Bustos, one of the project leaders, and Dr. Glenn A. Trinidad, Campus Extension Chair.
This MOA solidifies the implementation of the following extension projects that aim to uplift learner outcomes and empower teachers in Naga Central Elementary School and Naga Senior High School:
๐๐ฎ๐๐ฐ๐ต-๐๐ฝ, ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฐ๐ต-๐๐ฝ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐โ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐โ ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐. Led by Dr. Roselyn T. Bustos, this initiative complements the tutorial components of the 2025 ARAL Program, focusing on Reading and Mathematics remediation for early-grade learners and instructional support for educators.
๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ ๐๐๐ฆ: ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐. Spearheaded by Dr. Domnena I. Anog, this project addresses numeracy gaps among Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners by providing targeted intervention modules and learner-centered instruction.

Also led by Dr. Bustos, this project is an anthology of success stories from first-generation university students, created to inspire present and future first-generation learners to enrol and complete higher education. The initiative aims to break the cycle of poverty by showcasing real-life journeys of resilience, transformation, and hope.
These extension projects reflect CTU-Nagaโs commitment to bridge academic expertise with real community needs. Through active collaboration with DepEd Naga, the campus continues to be a catalyst for inclusive education and local empowermentโechoing its mantra of contributing meaningfully to the nationโs sustainable development goals.
