In pursuit of academic and sustainable growth through partnership, the City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) engaged in collaborative talks with Cebu Technological University (CTU) this morning at the President’s Office.

The future synergy centers on joint efforts to “address climate change through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and acknowledge the urgency of empowering teachers to integrate Climate Change Education (CCE) in their lesson planning and instructional practices.”

Dr. Jestoni P. Babia, President of the City College of CDO, expressed his firm commitment to establishing ties with CTU on fostering globally competitive education, implementing SDG-aligned initiatives, and undertaking climate-responsive actions.

On behalf of CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, Executive Assistant IV Atty. Rodmarc P. Sanchez also stressed the university’s robust support for this prospective partnership.

During the courtesy visit, Dr. Babia was accompanied by CCCDO’s Vice President, Dr. Donna Grace I. Cotejo, along with Dr. Lynnette Matea S. Camello, CTU’s University Director for ESD.

This mutual collaboration charts a path for a more sustainable, resilient, and top-tier educational future.
