Three esteemed graduate professors from CTU were recently elected as officers of the Philippine Association for Graduate Education-Region 7 (PAGE 7) during the two-day Regional Conference and General Assembly at the University of Cebu’s Jones Auditorium on July 25-26, 2025.
Among the 20 CTU participants, 6 presented their research papers during the parallel sessions. Led by PAGE 7 President Dr. Remedios C. Bacus, the event carries the theme ‘Enhancing Graduate Education for a Sustainable Future: Innovations, Research, and Leadership.’
The conference featured a keynote speaker, CHED-RO7 Director Dr. Maura Consolacion D. Cristobal, who talked about ‘Trends in Philippine Graduate Education.’ Meanwhile, the topic ‘Innovation and Leadership in Education’ was discussed by plenary speaker Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, BISU President and AACCUP President.
Further, the newly elected officers from CTU are the following:
โข Dr. Hedeliza A. Pineda โ Vice President for Cebu
โข Dr. Robert Jay N. Angco โ Secretary
โข Dr. Cristie Ann L. Jaca โ Public Information Officer
Their official oath-taking ceremony will be held at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office 7, to be officiated by the CHED Regional Director, Dr. Maura C. Cristobal. They will serve their term from 2025 to 2027.
The university and its newly elected faculty leaders express their full support for their continued service in advancing graduate education in the region.
