To elevate the practical knowledge and industry expertise of the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) students under the College of Management and Entrepreneurship (CME), Cebu Technological University (CTU) formally partnered with Cebu Association of Tour Guides Inc. (CAT-G) on August 12, 2025.
Pursuant to the MOA, CTU will “adhere to university policies and tourism industry regulations to uphold professional standards and maintain the credibility of the training programs.”
Meanwhile, CAT-G Inc. will “conduct specialized training sessions, workshops, and seminars on tour guiding techniques, ethics, and best practices for students and faculty.”
In attendance at the MOA signing were CAT-G President Ms. Maria Lorena P. Guba and her team, along with CTU representatives: VP for Administration and Finance Dr. Ramel C. Genobiagon, representing CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito; CTU-Main Campus Director Dr. Gregorio P. Pajaron, Jr.; CME Dean Dr. Amelia Girly L. Aranas; Tourism Management Department Chair Dr. Kafferine D. Yamagishi; and Lead Project Proponent Hazel B. Inoc, MMTM.
This collaboration focuses on developing and strengthening students’ practical knowledge and skills through industry links, equipping them with industry expertise in tour guiding and tourism management.
