Cebu Technological University (CTU) proudly celebrates a landmark achievement in its research trajectory: 100 Scopus-indexed documents in 2025—a feat that places CTU among the most prolific research institutions in the Philippines.

CTU is now: the first state university in the Philippines to hit the 100-document mark in Scopus; the second university outside the six THE-ranked institutions to achieve this distinction; and a rising research powerhouse with 629 total Scopus documents and 695 contributing authors across diverse fields.

Our research strength spans Social Sciences, Computer Science, and Business & Management, showcasing the University’s interdisciplinary reach and relevance.

For CTU’s stakeholders—students, faculty, collaborators, and communities—this milestone means: greater international visibility and academic prestige; expanded opportunities for research funding and global partnerships; enhanced access to cutting-edge knowledge and technologies; and a stronger foundation for policy, development, and innovation.

This achievement is a testament to the visionary leadership of University President, Dr. Joseph C. Pepito; the strategic direction of VP for Research Dr. Pet Roey L. Pascual; and the steadfast support of CHED Chairperson and CTU Chairperson-Designate, Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis.
